Dusty Hausauer didn’t think that getting bucked off would get him so much publicity! Dusty was bucked off popular saddle bronc horse, “Sock Dancer,” during the 9th round at this year’s Wrangler NFR. Darren Carroll is a photographer that works for Sports Illustrated. Amongst his hundreds of shots was Sock Dancer with all four feet off the ground shaking Dusty from his back. The picture captured Hausauer nearly upside down!
Dusty Hausauer had a break through year last year when he qualified for his very first Wrangler NFR. He won round two, was sixth in the average, and ninth in last year’s world standings. On top of that, he is the current Canadian Saddle Bronc Champion. Sock Dancer is owned by Growney Brothers and was voted the Saddle Bronc horse of the 2008 Wrangler NFR.
The photo can be seen in the December 22nd edition of Sports Illustrated in the “Leading Off” section or visit www.prorodeo.com to see the photo and read more about Dusty and Sock Dancer.
