When I was competing in rodeo queen pageants I was always looking for a horsemanship outfit that made a statement.  You want to choose a color that looks good on you but that will stand out in the arena.  Dark colors, especially in indoor arenas, are a risky choice because it is so easy to blend into the background.  That is not to say you can’t do it!  Last year at MRA, Miss Rodeo Arizona won horsemanship (in an indoor arena) wearing a beautiful black outfit.  If you do choose a dark color for horsemanship, make sure it has plenty of “glitter!”

This lime green smooth leather top was custom made by Julie Ewing for horsemanship.  It is a bright color that really stands out in any setting.  The top has hundreds of swavorski crystals outlining and accenting the hand sewn embellishments.  I wore it at MRA for horsemanship and that was it.  I am selling this top along with the matching earrings, jeans, belt, and boots.  Email megan@horsetravelnetwork.com for questions.
