The 2009 Miss Rodeo Montana and Miss Teen Rodeo Montana pageants are now accepting applications for the upcoming pageant. It will be held in Great Falls in conjunction with the Montana Pro Rodeo Circuit Finals January 7-11, 2009.   Contestants for Miss Teen Rodeo Montana must be between the ages of 14-18 and Miss Rodeo Montana contestants must be 19-24. Contestants must be citizens of Montana and have a horse available for use in the event they win the title, although horses will be provided for the pageant. The competition consists of horsemanship, public speaking, modeling in a fashion show, and interviews about their knowledge of current events, horsemanship and rodeo. Prizes include scholarships, a saddle, a buckle, a fur coat, and travel opportunities. The newly crowned queens will immediately begin crisscrossing the state and the country to represent the sport of rodeo and Montana at parades, banquets, rodeos, and schools, with Miss Rodeo Montana competing for the coveted title of Miss Rodeo America at the end of her year.
