This past week the girls that I helped with the practice pageant participated in their real pageant.  The Big Sky Pro Rodeo Roundup in Great Falls, Mt crowned their royalty.  Congratulations to Jourdan Han - queen and Libby Gurnett - Princess.  Their hard work paid off!

Also in the new royalty category is Miss Rodeo Utah 2008-2009.  Utah held their pageant the week of July 19 in conjunction with Ogden Pioneer days.   There were eleven girls competing this year and congrats goes to Renae Cowley of West Point, Utah.  Utah is one of the few states that has a “hold over title;” which means Renae will go to Vegas in just a few short months to compete for the title of Miss Rodeo America.  Hold over titles are different from many other states because the girls have a short period to prepare for MRA but are able to continue their reign after MRA if they do not capture the title in Vegas.  Utah is the last state to crown the 2008 queen that will be competing in Vegas.
