If you plan on competing in a pageant within the next few months, a good place to study your current events is by watching the presidential debates.  This allows you to understand where both parties stand on certain topics and some of the heated issues that need to be addressed.  After watching and understanding the debates you not only will be prepared for those inevitable political questions but you will also be an educated voter!  (Don’t forget to register to vote on November 4th.)  The first debate already took place on Friday the 26th of September at the University of Mississippi in Oxford.

Sarah Palin and Joseph Biden will face off next during the only Vice Presidential debate.  It will be taking place on Thursday, October 2 at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri.  The next debate between Senator John McCain and Senator Barack Obama will be held on Tuesday, October 7th at Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee.  The last debate between the presidential candidates will be held on Wednesday, October 15 at Hofstra University in Hempstead, New York.

Tune in to the debates as much as possible!  You are bound to learn valuable current event information!
