Roping fans pay attention to an up and coming cowboy. Roy Cooper’s son, Tuf Cooper was awarded Rookie of the Year honors. Tuf will be making his Wrangler NFR debut this Decemeber, this makes him the first tie-down roping rookie to qualify since 1996!
Tuf’s dad is known as the “Super Looper” around the rodeo world. **Hint Hint** This could be an interview/impromptu question at your next pageant! Roy Cooper was also the Rookie of the Year in 1976 and went on to win the world championship that year….soooo be watching Tuf this year at the NFR to possibly follow in his fathers footsteps.

Follow-up comment rss or Leave a TrackbackMy Owner(MO)has told me about Roy Cooper. It seems he was back in her generation. What a great roper!
Those Coopers must know how to pick out horses that will work for them. You wouldn’t catch this girl running hard, stopping hard and then “working” the rope! Ugh…it all sounds like hard work…
